The power of meaningful movement is unmatched.
I was 6 years old when my mom signed me up for my first dance class; I was 6 years old when my world was forever changed. I remember walking into my first ballet class all jittery and nervous, but the second my hand hit the ballet barre I became calm as a cucumber. I knew the dance studio was where I belonged. Now, at the age of 22, not one ounce of my love for the sport has slipped away.
I currently serve as Miss Capital City in the Miss Mississippi Organization and the Miss America Opportunity. I will compete for the title of Miss Mississippi in June 2024. As Miss Capital City, I am promoting my Community Service Initiative, Make A Move. Having already reached over 40,000 individuals with the healing power of exercise, I am using social media, classroom visits, and speaking engagements to provide Mississippi and America alike with simple, meaningful exercise habits that can ultimately lead to a healthier and happier lifestyle.
I am currently a Graduate Student at Mississippi State University, where I am a member of the Mississippi State University Dance Team (MSDT) and earning my master's degree in Elementary Education. I hope to become a middle school administrator and superintendent.
Along with dancing and teaching, other hobbies I enjoy are singing, playing guitar, working out, and completing jigsaw puzzles. I am also a student pilot and hope to complete my Private Pilot's Certification soon.
